A different kind of sequence
A few details help explain this feature. Four complete King-to-Ace runs clear the game. The tableau has seven columns. Moves build down in the same suit rather than allowing cross-suit destinations. Scorpion on tjxt56.com uses one 52-card deck with four suits.
Read the opening cards
Here are the details for this mode. Three cards remain in the stock. Each opening column contains seven cards for a total of 49 tableau cards. The first three cards in each of the first four columns are face down. All cards in the last three columns are face up.
Build in the same suit
The following details apply here. A moved group's leading card must land on a card exactly one rank higher in the same suit. A seven of hearts cannot land on an eight of spades. A King cannot land on another card because no higher rank exists. A seven of hearts can land on an exposed eight of hearts.
Order within a group may vary
The leading selected card still has to meet the destination rule. The selected cards do not need to descend in rank to travel together. Any face-up card can be selected together with every card beneath it. The selected cards do not need to share a suit to travel together.
Only Kings fill empty space
Keep these points in mind. An empty column is therefore less flexible than an empty column in ordinary Spider. A group led by a lower rank cannot enter an empty column. Cards beneath a moved King do not need to be in sequence. An empty column accepts a King or a group led by a King.
Uncover another choice
Here are the details for this mode. Undo restores the earlier hidden-card arrangement when the move is reversed. Removing all face-up cards above a hidden card turns that hidden card face up. An exposed card can carry the cards beneath it when its own destination is legal. The next hidden card is revealed automatically.
Use the stock once
Here are the details for this mode. Dealing places a face-up card on each of the first three columns. The stock contains one final deal of three cards. There are no further stock cards after the three-card deal. This Scorpion version permits its stock deal when columns are empty.
Complete a suit
Keep these points in mind. A completed run must descend from King to Ace in one suit. All thirteen cards in a collected run must be face up. The game removes a qualifying run automatically from the bottom of a column. Moving an unordered group does not make that group a completed sequence.
Plan around blocked cards
Replay and Undo let you explore another approach to the same layout. A move can carry unwanted cards along with a useful leading card. Checking the whole moved group helps you anticipate what will become blocked. Hint lists legal choices without promising a winning continuation.
